We are seeking to hire a Level 2 IT Support Engineer on behalf of our Dublin-based client, an MSP that provides IT services for various businesses across Ireland. This position involves addressing hardware, software and network issues, system administration and resolving tickets escalated from level 1.
Duties:
* Providing second-level support for end-users, addressing hardware, software and network issues
* Diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems escalated from Level 1
* Troubleshooting system, application and network issues
* Perform system administration tasks including backups and user account management
* Monitoring system performance and security, applying updates and patches when required
* Helping to maintain and manage IT infrastructure
Requirements:
* 2+ years' experience in a similar IT Support position
* Experience with troubleshooting and supporting Windows environments
* Experience with Office 365 and Active Directory
* Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and routers, switches and firewalls
* An understanding of VMware and Azure
