Health and Safety Officer Skills: The Health and Safety Advisor role would suit an experienced, self-reliant individual with 8+ years of construction experience:
* A third-level qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
* Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).
* Experience within the construction sector - commercial, industrial, or residential.
* Able to manage Health and Safety on-site using own initiative within the scope of the management system.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint), and competence in using new technologies (Mobile Apps, etc.).
* Able to chair and deliver Health and Safety meetings and presentations.
As Health and Safety Officer:
* Reporting to and working closely with the Group Health and Safety Manager.
* Identify site-specific hazards and ensure they are addressed in site documentation and practically on-site.
* Carry out site safety inspections and conduct accident and dangerous occurrence investigations within your designated area.
* Carry out Risk Assessments & complete Method Statements.
* Contribute to Toolbox talks, discussions, and delivery.
* Liaise with Site Managers to ensure Health and Safety documentation is up to date.
* Conduct training for new and existing employees.
