The CFS IT Department delivers technology to support Clearstream Fund Services (CFS) business in providing Clearstream's services across all fund types, from mutual funds to exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and alternative funds.
The Project Manager is responsible to successfully manage the implementation of projects within the agreed scope, timeline and budget, in accordance with Deutsche Börse project methodologies and with our clients and business objectives in mind.
The Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, resourcing forecasting, budget management, project status and progress reporting, identifying and tracking Risk & Issues via RAID logs, providing input on 'best practice' improvements into the project management team and troubleshooting.
As an experienced Project Manager, with the support of multiple teams and entities, you will work on projects related to Clearstream Fund Services strategic portfolio.
The scope of projects into this view, include the development of new Products and Services, IT landscape integration in the case of ongoing Mergers & Acquisitions, IT technology changes (including mandatory upgrades), Regulatory and Compliance, Enhancements to provide efficiency savings for our Operational team and client centric projects.
You will join a section unit of 45+ professionals participating in projects, encompassing multiple roles: Functional Analysts (from business analysis to testing), Project Management Office and Project Managers.
Your responsibilities
As an Experienced Project Manager, you will be expected to deliver complex multi-locations projects with high quality standards, and will be responsible to:
* Steer the project and ensure successful implementation of project(s) within project scope, budget and timeline.
* Constantly monitor and report on project/release progress/KPIs in accordance to Clearstream Executive Management risk monitoring.
* Monitor and report the project progress to Executive Management and other portfolio governing body.
* Take full ownership of projects financials, reconciliation of actuals and forecasts, analyze gaps and explain discrepancies.
* Become a leading figure for groups of business and IT stakeholders to agree on functional and or technical solutions to unblock complex situations.
* Report up to and participate into project governing bodies (Steering Committees) and any project stakeholder related forum.
* Manage and support business transitions (technical and planning) and ensure proper governance and controls are in place, across all phases of the project.
* Provide direction and support to cross functional teams.
* Proactively take decisions or seek approval to ensure the project stays on track.
* Coach and mentor junior project managers and support them in their day-to-day work, providing guidelines about methodology and 'best practices' way of working.
Your profile
* Demonstrate 10-15 years of proven track record in a similar role.
* Experience within financial services + a broad knowledge of the investment funds and or banking industry, including its underlying domains (Risk, Finance, Compliance, etc).
* Experience in managing projects across multiple locations with multi-cultural mindset.
* Strong organizational and time management skills: proficient in structuring, planning and monitoring of projects.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across all levels of seniority and functions with confidence, and to develop effective partnerships with key business stakeholders.
* Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope.
* Ability to steer the project and unlock conflicts and issues + ensure there is sufficient engagement with senior stakeholders.
* Adapt communications skills to the audience and report on project status to the various governance bodies of Clearstream and Deutsche Borse Group.
* Knowledge and experience in dealing with waterfall projects + ensuring the close collaboration of project participants working in an 'agile mode' (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers,...).
* Ideally project or Program Management certification, PMI, Prince 2, Agile, SAFe or equivalent.
* Proficient with MS Office tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint). Experience with Clarity or any another Project & Portfolio Management tool.
* Proficiency in written and spoken English; French/German or/and any other languages will be an asset.
