Senior Network Engineer Job Description
At Red Chair Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our leading telecommunications provider in the southwest. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our high-performance network, delivering broadband, VoIP, and managed telecom services to residential and business customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Network Management: Ensure high-availability core and access networks for both residential and business clients.
* Equipment Setup: Configure and manage routers (MikroTik, Juniper), Ethernet switches (Juniper, Netonix), and wireless radios (Cambium, Ubiquiti, Ceragon).
* VoIP & Server Management: Oversee the VoIP core network and manage virtual machines supporting CRM and NMS.
* Cybersecurity: Secure the network against internal and external threats.
* Upgrades & Expansion: Plan software upgrades, evolve the network to support new services, and collaborate on business installations.
* On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation for network monitoring and issue resolution.
Requirements:
* Education: Third-level qualification in ICT or equivalent experience.
* Technical Background: Strong technical background in WAN, LAN, and VoIP technologies.
* Experience: Proven experience in network management, ideally in the telecom or ISP sector.
* Skillset: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
