Job Title: Dietician
My client, a global provider of pharmaceutical, medical devices and healthcare solutions, is seeking a part-time permanent Dietician to work as part of their Dialysis Team. This role is based in their state-of-the-art healthcare facilities in Wexford and Portlaoise.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Work at a professional level in renal medicine, requiring clinical competence within this specialist area and general senior competencies.
* Clinically and professionally manage the nutritional care and dietetic requirements of patients diagnosed with renal failure in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Managers in clinics in Wexford and Portlaoise.
* Manage the nutritional care of patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), involving complex dietary manipulation to achieve outcomes that support maximising patients' medical and nutritional status and avoiding nutrition-related complications/disease progression.
* Deliver a quality service and maintain a patient-centred approach at all times.
* Plan and organise service delivery effectively.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
* Show continuous learning and development.
* Use problem-solving processes to best meet patients' needs and the service's requirements.
* Develop evidence-based policies and protocols for optimal nutritional and dietetic management of patients.
Experience Required:
Three years of post-graduate relevant work experience in renal care are essential.
Professional Knowledge:
* Demonstrate knowledge of renal dietetics and renal replacement therapies.
* Provide haemodialysis patients with nutritional care based on evidence best practice appropriate to their requirements.
* Maintain an excellent working knowledge of renal related guidelines.
* Provide evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
