Senior Quality Engineer - Cluster Lifecycle
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the OpenShift Cluster Manager team. Cluster Lifecycle is responsible for provisioning and life-cycling Managed OpenShift services on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Responsibilities
* Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test reports.
* Execute functional, integration, regression, performance and scalability tests using open source tools for OpenShift.
* Design, develop and maintain test automation using Golang, analyze test results by AI tools and guarantee test efficiency. Implement automation tools as needed.
* Work in a fast-paced environment, be goal-oriented. Proactively communicate with multiple stakeholders across teams to implement new ideas and improvements.
* Oversee potential problems and devise mechanisms to solve them in a timely manner.
* Act as an expert in the area of your project.
* Actively suggest and implement continuous improvement in the workflow.
* Work in a global team, embrace diversity and cultural differences.
Requirements
* 5+ years of professional experience working as a Software Quality Engineer.
* 5+ years of experience working in a Linux environment.
* 3+ years of experience in Golang (preferred) or Python.
* Testing experience with AWS cloud.
* Testing experience with container-related technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
* Proficiency with Bash.
* Proficiency and working experience in CICD technology and API automation.
* Persistent in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
* Familiar with agile testing methodologies and techniques.
Nice to Have
* Knowledge with OpenShift is a big plus.
* Knowledge of Google Compute Engine (GCE), or Microsoft Azure.
* Familiarity with DevOps or SRE background.
* Familiarity with monitoring and dashboarding tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
* Experience with virtualization and distributed systems.
