Our client is a multidisciplinary company offering environmental consultancy services across various sectors including renewable energy, food and drink, and construction. They are seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Environmental Planning Consultant to lead complex projects in a hybrid working model with opportunities for growth and leadership development.
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for large-scale projects
* Oversee the preparation and submission of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)
* Lead planning applications and conduct pre-application consultations with local authorities
* Collaborate with clients, authorities, and internal teams to deliver projects within budget and time constraints
* Supervise and mentor a small internal EIA team and external subcontractors
* Ensure compliance with Irish environmental and planning legislation
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders in renewable energy, construction, and food & drink industries
* Identify project challenges, provide solutions, and ensure high-quality deliverables
* Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies
* Align projects with company objectives, core values, and financial targets
Requirements
* A third-level qualification (Degree/Masters) in environmental science or a related discipline
* A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental planning and EIA management
* Proven experience in Irish planning legislation and EIAR report writing
* Strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and oversee multiple projects concurrently
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills
