The Role:
The Director of Nursing will lead the delivery of exceptional care standards and operational excellence in our facility.
Reporting directly to the Director of Care and Registered Provider, you will work as part of a robust clinical management team and oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing care, ensuring all clinical practices meet regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
You will provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff to support their personal and professional growth.
Monitor and evaluate the care provided to residents, implementing improvements where necessary to maintain excellent care standards, and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve overall care delivery.

3 Years post registration experience working with older people within the previous 6 years Previous experience (at least 3 years) in a nursing management role required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, team members, management and external bodies e.g.
HIQA, HSE, GPs etc.
Evidence of continuous professional development Post Graduate Diploma in Gerontology or Healthcare management Management qualification (QQI level 6 or above) (essential) Excellent IT skills essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent knowledge of organisation of health services and trends nationally and internationally Excellent Knowledge of HIQA standard and regulations and health and safety requirements Excellent Leadership and Organisational skills.
Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities and results driven.
Ability to motivate self and others and work on own initiative.
Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company.
