We want you to become the best version of yourself.Join us, as General CounselA member of Executive Leadership Team (ELT) reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Counsel will provide expert legal and regulatory advice, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and mitigate key legal risks while directing the legal and regulatory team. What else it involves Accountable for the development and delivery of strategies related to Legal and Regulatory Compliance for Three Ireland, including advising the ELT on key strategic legal and regulatory risk impacting the wider business.Oversees critical legal activities across all functions including commercial negotiations and contracts, IP, litigation, strategic alliances and partnerships, network supply agreements and outsourcing contracts, ensuring all functions take ownership and action to capture, understand and mitigate critical risks in timely manner.Accountable for the development and implementation of Three Ireland’s compliance strategy, to ensure compliance in line with all relevant laws regulations applying to Three Ireland’s business including compliance with telecommunications, data protection and consumer and end user protection.Direct the development and implementation of Three Ireland’s overall regulatory strategy, ensuring alignment with business aims and proactive engagement with policymakers and governmental and statutory stakeholders, including advising and representing the ELT on all regulatory and government trends/issues which may impact wider business, internally and externally.Advise in the influencing the evolving regulatory landscape and management of all regulatory risks impacting Three Ireland’s in relation to policy initiatives by ComReg, Data Protection Commission and Coimisiún na Meán.#Jointly accountable for business-wide direction and strategy.Advising on all corporate governance matters including advising the directors on their duties and ensuring that they comply with corporate legislation and the constitution of the company, maintaining the company’s statutory books and arranging meetings of the directors.The skills we're looking for Experience as a senior legal/regulatory advisor (ideally in a General Counsel or equivalent capacity) for a large telecommunications or technology company. Significant experience working closely with executive level stakeholders.Comprehensive knowledge of the laws, regulations, and policies governing the telecoms sector, including licensing, interconnection, spectrum management, data protection, and consumer and end-user protection.Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and operational risks facing telecoms companies and strategies for mitigationExpertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including service agreements, interconnection agreements, and vendor contractsFamiliarity with best practices in corporate governance, including board responsibilities, ethics, and compliance Critical Success Factors/Capabilities Proven track record of:Directing others: Engaging, aligning and empowering teams to achieve goals in an agile, fast paced and dynamic environment.Shaping strategy: Influencing governmental and statutory stakeholders’ policy.Thinking commercially: Applying deep commercial understanding to drive business goals and outcomes, developing long term business direction based on data and insight.Influencing collaboratively: Guiding, influencing and working effectively with others to drive outcomes.Benefits of Working at ThreeFlexible working with our new Hybrid model, our employees will enjoy more flexibility working from home and our office locations (3 days per week office based).
