Our client is seeking to speak with a Lube Technician to manage all lubrication, project & improvement activities through use of a CMMS system.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Carry out all Planned Lubrication routines and jobs as detailed by the chargehand or manager to ensure reliability of equipment.
* Responsible for lubrication improvement activities as directed.
* Draining and cleaning of reservoirs; filling and maintaining levels on reservoirs; changing filters and breathers on reservoirs; operating filtration equipment.
* Coordination of inventory and routine ordering of lubrication products.
* Responsible for the storage of all lubricants onsite.
* Labelling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory, and delivery containers.
* Schedule, collect, label, and mail oil samples with requisite details for analysis and perform basic evaluation of oil analysis results; recommend current and future maintenance actions.
* Troubleshoot common lubrication-related procedural and equipment problems.
* Carry out predictive maintenance tasks and routines if requested - i.e. vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermal imaging, etc.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
* Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in heavy industry or wood processing plant in the following fields: machinery lubrication, engineering, mechanical maintenance, and/or maintenance trades.
* Machine Lubricant Analyst qualification is an advantage.
* Knowledge of LEAN maintenance practices is an advantage.
* Strong communication, project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic with the ability to deliver to deadlines.
* Proven track record of managing maintenance work through to completion.
* Experience of CMMS systems is an advantage.
