Job Description:
As a Sustainability Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting construction operations to ensure compliance with regulations and delivery of activities aligned to project key performance indicators and targeted certifications.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical advice and guidance as the sustainability subject matter expert for assigned projects/teams
* Support project teams in discharging their environmental, social, and sustainability-related planning conditions and delivery of organisation KPIs
* Undertake regular site visits and inspections on assigned projects to ensure environmental compliance and best practice
* Write and communicate site project environmental and sustainability documentation
* Identify and review social value project requirements and opportunities, and support the delivery of social value initiatives
* Organise Considerate Constructor requirements and prepare sites for audits and compliance with the standard
* Report progress and performance to the wider sustainability function and share best practices and learning opportunities
* Prepare emissions information and support consultants and project stakeholders to reduce operational and embodied emissions
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role
* Degree or similar in an environmental, social, or governance discipline
* ISO14001 internal auditor (desirable)
* CSCS card (relevant to role)
* BREEAM Accredited Professional
* Carbon literacy or emissions accounting qualification (e.g., LCA) (desirable)
