NEC4 Project Manager
Role
Join our client, in a NEC4 Project Manager role, working on a large infrastructure project in Co Limerick. The role requires the candidate to be on site 2 to 3 days per week, depending on Project requirements.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the delivery of highways and construction documents being produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor working closely with the NEC4 Supervisor and Commercial Manager.
• Administer the contract with the Contractor for the design stage of the project.
• Early warnings (considering, seeking solutions, deciding on actions, managing records),
• Reviewing and acceptance of Contractor’s programme,
• Communication protocol with the Contractor,
• Change control related to commercial instructions,
• Use of CEMAR (or equivalent)
• Ensure all correspondence and work packages are saved, recorded, and received on time.
• Identifying project risks at the earliest opportunity and proposing mitigation measures or elevating matters quickly.
Desirable Requirements
• Recognised Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or other equivalent qualification
• Is a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland or similar accreditation body
• NEC4 Accredited PM
• 15 year+ post-graduate experience in the management of major civil engineering project
• 10 years+ experience in the NEC Project Manager role in the design and construction of Civil Engineering projects
• Project Manager on a national road project (construction value of at least €40 million ex VAT) during the construction and handover phases
• Knowledge of Contracts and Contract Management, particularly NEC4 Contract.
• Experience of using CEMAR (or equivalent) to manage contracts.
