Contract: Full-time permanent, Salary: £27,000-£30,000 (based on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), Benefits: Company Pension, Annual leave entitlement of 30 days including public holidays (flexible).

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of our exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:
* Create cost estimates, budget preparation, and financial reporting for ongoing projects
* Support contract negotiations, document preparation, and post-contract administration
* Monitor project costs, reporting relevant information to key stakeholders
* Track variations, tabulating evidence
* Generate payment applications to contract timelines
* Support value engineering processes
* Assist team to identify and mitigate project risks related to costs and contracts
* Assist with the preparation of tender submissions
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with contract terms, regulations, and company policies
Requirements:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
* 2-3 years experience in quantity surveying (Railway desirable but not essential)
* Strong attention to detail, with an analytical approach to problem-solving
* A good understanding of contract terms, costs, and budgeting principles
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (knowledge of MS Project is a plus)
* Experience using QS software tools to streamline processes
* Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams and clients
* A proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Knowledge of NEC contracts desirable
* Eagerness to learn, grow, and build a career within SGE
* Ability to adapt to other sectors
* Competent in the English language
