Overall Purpose of the Job
Based at our client site and reporting to the Site Manager you will assist and take ownership inproviding Facilities Management & Facilities related projects, including moves management, spaceplanning, administration, financial control, logistics, H&S, Energy Management of the highest quality,enabling the business to carry out their business activities in a safe comfortable, productive & costeffective environment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all building fabric under our control as per the Plant CMMS / CAFM system.
2. Assist the engineering team to carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control.
3. Ensure that all contractors and staff are H&S compliant including management & creation of documents for SSOW.
4. Property & Facility related inspections.
5. Maintain an internal ‘Best Practice’ regime and encourage continuous improvements.
6. Liaise with the service desk / Team Lead and respond to all non-technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement.
7. Carryout reactive tasks that will enable repairs to building fabric.
8. Assist with the moving of plant and equipment as deemed necessary by the client.
9. Carryout the daily checks on site as per client requirements.
10. Fabric maintenance, including painting and decorating, door furniture, office furniture etc.
11. Assist subcontractors to allow them to carry out their tasks, for example signing in, work permits and showing to area.
12. Reporting of any out of place findings to the contract manager.
13. Assist with the writing of procedures.
14. Monitoring of all subcontractors and their associated services.
15. Ensuring all facilities activities and requests are tracked and resolved in timely manner in line with the SLA. Ensuring that feedback is provided on each issue.
16. Liaising with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problems.
17. Assist with all queries regarding quotations and purchasing when requested.
Qualifications and Experience
18. Previous experience in a similar position and environment.
19. Any experience of the mechanical element of building services would be a distinct advantage.
20. Ability to work on own initiative with minimal direction.
21. Excellent customer service skills.
22. Good communication skills.
23. Must appreciate the importance of taking ownership of certain functions as allocated to the role.
