OverviewThis position is responsible for contributing to the Applications Operations team, whose charter is to keep the business applications running and operating in an efficient manner, giving the business agility, and addressing operational needs quickly.
The Applications Operations Analyst supports and optimizes existing systems and contributes to overall efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the needs of our customers through effective use of technology throughout the life cycle of the software.
ResponsibilitiesService Delivery as per agreed KPIs and Service Levels Agreements.Work as part of a team to triage production outages and facilitate escalations, involving the correct stakeholders to drive resolution, communicating to impacted business units, gathering data on impact to systems and business, and reporting on impacts via metrics to leadership team.Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, priorities, and capture requirements for operational needs and improve transparency.Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices for operations and support of software.Define, acquire, and maintain tools to improve the efficiency of the operations and technical support and track compliance with standard operating procedures.Ensure proactive and preventive maintenance activities are implemented on in-scope IT Applications to improve the availability of services.Provide subject matter expertise (SME) leadership and consulting support on complex tasks related to the primary functions of the position.Ensure that vendor management is performed, and all escalation procedures are undertaken as needed.Deliver appropriate communication and reporting, keeping all the relevant stakeholders informed.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experienceDesirable:ISTQB Foundation CertificationCertification IT Service Management Certification (ITIL)Additional Quality Engineering courses or certifications, such as cloud computing, CI/CD, and environments and data management toolsEssential skillsSQLEffective analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to consistently deliver key milestones on-timeGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work under pressureAdept in interacting with everyone from developers to executivesAbility to perform escalation management, customer relationship management and vendor management capabilitiesDesired skillsMySQL, PostgresSQL, Heidi SQL and PG AdminSome automation knowledgeKubernetes and LinuxDB knowledge for table designsUnderstanding of billing processContinued focus on process improvementAbility to manage multiple projects and operational tasks simultaneouslyBe a self-starter and be able to learn on your own (technical-minded)Understand documentation from and use of ConfluenceAbility to document and use ExcelExperiencePrevious experience in managing an Operations team, balancing multiple high-impact projects for mid-size to large organisationsExperience contributing to and implementing operating policies and procedures in compliance with various internal standards or external standards, such as ITILMust possess in-depth knowledge of software lifecycles and software deployment methodologiesExperience in cloud and database conceptsExperience in providing technical guidance to enable others and supporting junior colleagues with technical queries and personal growthBenefitsAt Expleo, we are committed to providing a competitive salary and substantial benefits offering with unique wellbeing, financial and employee recognition programmes.
