The role As a Concrete Technician you will be required to: Assess Mix Designs for Block/Concrete/Mortar/Precast Examine cement contents Check cube results and block strength Examine relationship between all the mix designs & compare it to cube results Examine admixtures including water reducers & superplasticizers Examine mortar admixtures with air entrainer and retarders Organise system for weekly reporting to the Managing Director of cube results, block results and changes to aggregate gradings Aggregates - Carry out sieve analysis and PSD on all aggregates Requirements: A recognised 3rd level qualification in Civil Engineering Practical hands-on experience in concrete testing, mixing, and placement is crucial.
Prior work in a construction-related field is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail is essential for accurately testing and documenting concrete properties.
Knowledge of concrete mix design and understanding of materials used in concrete production.
Familiarity with relevant testing equipment and procedures.
Good communication skills.
Understanding of industry standards and specifications for concrete.
Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations related to concrete construction.
