Morgan McKinley, on behalf of our client, are recruiting for an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage an existing account base across Munster and Galway, while also driving new business growth.
This role is ideal for a target-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing strong relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take full ownership of sales and margin growth in the designated area.
2. Conduct regular customer visits to showcase the latest product offerings and promotions.
3. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels through phone, email, and on-site meetings.
4. Identify and proactively address underperforming accounts to maximise sales potential.
5. Pursue new business opportunities, including new openings and project-based sales, to meet revenue targets.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven field sales experience, ideally within a consultative sales environment.
2. Willingness to travel, with occasional overnight stays as required.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Highly motivated, results-driven, and proactive in meeting targets.
5. A willingness to learn and adopt company processes and best practices.
6. Knowledge of the Irish foodservice market is advantageous but not essential.
