Are you a Cost Manager looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?
If so, we are looking for an experienced Project Level or Senior Cost Manager with 5-10 years’ experience to join our team in Dublin. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
As one of our Senior Cost Managers working within the wider team, you will lead and deliver in all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from project inception to completion.
You will drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process. Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.
The role involves a cost management position on the team. Responsibilities will include cost modelling and benchmarking reports and presenting them to clients. Developing cost plans as further detailed design information becomes available. Advising Clients on market conditions and procurement options. Carrying out value and risk analysis exercises. Compilation of contract documentation and managing the Tender process.
Liaising with clients, supporting the team lead in order to develop new business and maintain high client satisfaction on existing roles. Regular site visits on all projects, meeting client reporting requirements, attending project meetings as appropriate, agreeing valuations, due diligence reporting and the review and management of change control procedures. The applicant will be expected to both manage and deliver projects independently and in conjunction with the support of other members of the team.
The role may also require you to be involved in data centre projects and other highly serviced buildings – experience of mission critical projects and MEP systems would be advantageous.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management or appropriate conversion course
* Understanding a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Healthcare, Education, mission critical, Commercial, Residential, Industrial sector experience would be advantageous
* Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
* Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner.
* Ability to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with team lead
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professionally Qualified (or working towards same) – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the SCSi / RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution but not a minimum requirement.
* A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning
* Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
* Prior line-management experience or mentoring
* Experience of client facing & developer liaison roles
* Experience of cost control of MEP installations
* Previous exposure on Data Centre projects
