The Role The test team responsible for verifying Cubic³ Connectivity solutions is growing due the expansion of Cubic³'s products offering and the adoption of new technologies in our network.
The candidate should be a team player and will work in the Dublin office within the team responsible for ensuring the quality of Cubic³ ecosystem, focusing on SIM and Network products as part of the connectivity solutions provided to our customers.
The ideal candidate would be someone with a keen eye for details, comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and with a strong appetite to learn new technologies.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer to demonstrate technical and organisational abilities, working in a small team of experienced engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies, supporting other technical teams on full end to end solutions and being exposed to a diverse range of areas across the business.
Responsibilities Review and interpret product requirements around the connectivity solution to create input for test projects.
Work closely with the other technical teams (Network, SIM and SW engineering departments) and Product Owners to ensure correct approach and maximize test coverage.
Write, prepare, and execute test cases in accordance with the project test strategy.
Raise, prioritise, and follow up on the resolution of defects.
Analyse test results, prepare test reports and provide assessment of product quality to stakeholders.
Trouble-shoot and diagnose issues that are reported by customers.
Identify gaps in current verification and inefficiencies in the existing tools kit and propose solutions.
Requirements Essential: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related disciplines.
Minimum of 18 months professional experience in test planning and execution, preferably with some exposure to the Mobile Networks domain Experience in QA/Testing methodologies including E2E testing.
Experience using Test Management and Issue Tracking software.
Effective problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise work tasks and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.
Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
Self-motivated individual with a desire to learn Professional written and verbal communication skills Desirable: Experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience with troubleshooting and identifying issues within data networks, using packet analyzer (e.g.
Wireshark) Experience using API test tools such as SOAP UI or Postman.
Experience working on Linux and familiarity with SSH/Telnet and tools such as Putty Knowledge of PS Core network node and call flows.
