The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and ambitious plans for further expansion in Ireland, we are recruiting a Director / Senior Manager to join our VAT team.
The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to accelerate their knowledge, skills, and development in a creative, entrepreneurial, and supportive team, working with lots of fantastic clients along the way.
The role will entail working as part of a multidisciplinary team to serve a range of international and domestic clients across a diverse range of sectors.
A key part of the role will be to work with existing indirect tax senior management in developing the firm's indirect tax service offering.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the provision of technically sound, clear and commercially focussed advice on indirect tax matters.
* Managing a portfolio of indirect tax clients and overseeing a compliance portfolio.
* Working with senior management to develop and grow the firm's indirect tax service offering.
* Contributing to the operational management of the tax business and taking responsibility for specific areas as required.
* Coordinating and collaborating with other RSM member firms on cross-border projects and business development initiatives.
* Contributing to the development of technical knowledge and training of staff on indirect taxes.

* Comprehensive VAT technical knowledge and experience.
* Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
* Proven track record in business development and converting relationships into fee paying work.

* Team player with strong communication, interpersonal and leaderships skills.
