This position is part of the TOPS department located in Co Clare and will on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the UA TOPS team and report to the UA TOPS manager responsible for supporting all technical issues related to the manufacture and release of UA strips to the market. This includes any new raw material introductions, all CAPA related manufacturing issues and ensuring that all technical support is provided to the UA Operations and QC groups. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Understand UA strip manufacturing process. Carry out Investigation analysis of product failures. Performing urinalysis tests, QC, and instrument maintenance on automatic analyzer. Performs specimen collection as necessary
2. Formulates test solutions in both laboratory and strip production environment
3. Interact with multiple groups and gain a thorough understanding of an operations environment.
4. Analyzes the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications.
5. Maintain inventory/supplies necessary for testing purposes.
6. Be supported to develop your ability to work independently when required.
7. Develop your analytical skill set.
8. Evaluates data generated and prepare /present to group.
9. Ensures compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
10. Collaborates with stakeholders in other functions to support day to day activities.
The essential requirements of the job include:
11. Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in biological sciences, microbiology, immunology, chemistry or medical technology preferable.
12. Prior laboratory experience in urinalysis, hematology, immunoassay, clinical chemistry, or flow cytometry a plus.
13. Knowledge and experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
