Job Title: Site Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our client's team in Kerry, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience working as a Site Engineer in Ireland or the UK.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the execution and completion of projects. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting accurate site surveys and setting out construction sites according to project specifications and design drawings;
* Collaborating with project management teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression;
* Monitoring and inspecting construction activities to verify compliance with approved designs and specifications;
* Providing technical support and guidance to construction teams on setting out, surveying, and related activities;
* Maintaining accurate records of survey data, measurements, and site documentation for reference and future use;
* Assisting in the preparation and review of construction method statements, risk assessments, and other project-related documentation;
* Coordinating with external surveyors, architects, and engineers to ensure effective communication and collaboration on site-related matters;
* Conducting regular quality control inspections to identify and rectify any deviations or issues related to setting out and surveying;
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on the construction site and promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer with setting out responsibilities;
* Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels;
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices;
* Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and surveying techniques;
* Familiarity with relevant software applications, including AutoCAD and surveying software;
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately;
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams;
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
