Audit Manager Role
Sanderson is partnering with a not-for-profit organization to recruit an Audit Manager on a permanent basis. This hybrid role can be based in any of their offices across Ireland, including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Monaghan, Sligo, Kilkenny, Limerick, or Mullingar.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the audit plan and conducting risk audits. To excel in this role, staying updated on legislation, contracts, program rules, and government circulars is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the operational delivery of the audit plan
* Conducting on-site risk audits
* Developing and maintaining audit checklists, reporting templates, and procedures
* Providing validated data and periodic reporting
* Overseeing the audit and verification budget process
* Producing internal/external reports and presentations
* Ensuring quality assurance of audit reports
* Leading and mentoring a team of auditors and an administrator
* Collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to the management team
* Staying updated on regulatory changes and maintaining relevant policies and procedures
Qualifications and experience required include:
* A professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
* A minimum of 4-5 years of internal audit management experience in large organizations, public bodies, or consultancy
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* The ability to work independently and deliver results
* Knowledge of the regulatory environment and public accountability requirements
