My client is an Irish owned cost consultancy who have offices nationwide and a great pipeline of projects. They currently have 20 Quantity Surveyors in the business, and they are growing the team on all levels from junior to associate.
They are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious intermediate Quantity Surveyor that demonstrates strong organisational/managerial skills and a pro-active attitude. The successful candidate will have good reporting and communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment and be computer literate.
Duties:
1. Pre-contract cost control and advise to Design Teams and Clients
2. Pre-contract document preparation
3. All post contract functions including; interim recommendations, cost reporting, Client meetings, final account reconciliations on a diverse range of projects
4. Responsibility for training and development of assistant and junior Quantity Surveyors as part of team structure
5. Estimating & Cost Planning reporting directly to Clients
6. Preparing Bills of Quantities
7. Compiling Contract Documentation
8. Preparing Cost Reports
9. Preparing Monthly Valuations
10. Preparation and Agreement of Final Accounts
11. Review and Resolve Contractual Claims
12. Attend Meetings with Clients and Design Team Members
Requirements:
1. Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
2. 3+ years of experience ideally with a consultancy
3. Ambition to get chartership
4. Team player
5. Strong computer skills
