Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to support our business growth following the award of several new contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements.
2. Prepare enquiry documents, source and obtain material and subcontractor quotations, including final negotiations and orders.
3. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors and set sub-contractor packs.
4. Complete monthly sub contractor valuations through to final account.
5. Complete monthly valuations to PQS and record all additional works items.
6. Liaise with clients to agree rates/variations and cost analysis.
7. Measure works as per contract specific schedule of rates.
8. Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts within the agreed timescales.
9. Work closely with Management and Accounts to ensure accurate and vigorous cost management of the project to deliver a profitable outcome.
10. Provide accurate and robust monthly reports for Management and Client Progress Meetings.
11. Attend and participate in Site Progress Meetings.
Requirements:
* Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or other related disciplines.
* Applicants with HND/HNC or strong construction-related experience will also be considered for the role.
* Working knowledge of the PWC form of contracts.
* Experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying role within a Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 years.
* Be articulate, pro-active with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills and comfortable working with minimum supervision.
* Be able to demonstrate initiative whilst working in a team environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
