Role: Physiotherapist.

Overall Purpose of the Post:
The physiotherapist will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing physiotherapy services to children and families with visual impairment.
They will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and intervention of children with a range of disabilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care within ChildVision.
Training on visual impairment will be provided and an opportunity to engage in Vision specific CPD
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Practice: · Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of children with visual impairments and potentially other disabilities.
· Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
· Provide a range of physiotherapy interventions specific to Childs needs.
· Monitor, evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, and adjust as needed.
· Collaborate with other CDNT and primary care teams nationally
Service Delivery: · Contribute to the overall service delivery of ChildVision.
· Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practice standards.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
· Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Professional Development: · Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain competence and stay updated with the latest advancements in physiotherapy.
· Participate in relevant training and workshops.
Teamwork: · Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
· Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree or masters in Physiotherapy or equivalent. COUR Registration essential Experience in paediatric physiotherapy, preferably in a disability setting. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physiotherapy techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Experience visual impairment Experience in working with children with complex disabilities. Knowledge of child development and developmental delay. Probation: A probationary period of 2 months applies, wherein three probationary meetings will take place to review your performance and suitability for appointment.
The probationary period may be extended or terminated for any reason at ChildVision's discretion.
Annual leave: Annual leave entitlement is 30 days pro rata per annum and pro-rata

Garda Clearance/ Police Clearance:
These will be required for all prospective employees who will undertake relevant work or activities relating to children or vulnerable persons.
This will include any state outside of Ireland where the candidate has resided for a period of 6 months or more.
Pay: Salary Scale Range €40,325- €57,321 (Pro rata)
Sick Pay: All periods of sickness exceeding 3 days must be medically certified.
Weekly medical certificates are required thereafter.
