Job Description
The Development Chemist will play a crucial role in the Process Development service Team, providing chemistry expertise and technical support for process development in various stages of research, pilot plant, and manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Technical and laboratory support for new product introduction, from route development to scale-up and implementation on a large scale.
* Support for development projects in the lab, including route scouting, proof of concept, and process robustness studies.
* Suggest modifications to synthetic routes to address complex chemistry issues for both laboratory and plant processes.
* synthesis of compounds to required quality standards, including analysis and interpretation of data.
* Expand scientific knowledge by reading literature, attending conferences, and relevant training.
* Author or contribute to regulatory submissions, patents, and internal documentation.
* Collaborate with clients and teams for seamless project transfer from plant to lab.
* Perform tasks with due care, adhere to quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines while upholding the Dignity at Work Policy and Code of Conduct.
Candidate Requirements
* PhD in Chemistry with significant Organic Chemistry component.
* 2-3 years' experience in synthetic / organic chemistry (industry or research preferred).
