Quality Lead - SQE - (97133)Category (For Job Seekers): QualityLocation: 34501 - EMS FERMOY IRE - Fermoy, CO IE (Primary)JOB TITLE: Quality Lead - Supplier Quality EngineerDEPARTMENT: Quality DepartmentREPORTING TO: Director of QualityDIRECT REPORTS: Supplier Quality Engineer /Supplier Quality GraduateOBJECTIVES OF POSITION:Lead the Supplier Quality function i.e.Incoming Inspection/ Sampling/ Dock to stockSupplier ‘in-process’ performanceMRB/ RTVSupplier Selection and ApprovalEnsure the quality and integrity of incoming material from all our suppliers in order to maximize yields and minimize production fails and scrap.RESPONSIBILITIES:Supplier Appraisal, Selection, Approval and ManagementStrategic management of key suppliers and sub-contractorsSupplier auditing, rating, development and improvementCreate, analyse, report and improve Supplier Quality MetricsReview and approve AVL change requestsDriving Supplier Corrective and Preventative action ImprovementsManage the Incoming Inspection areaMaximise quality of incoming materials whilst minimizing dependence on Incoming Inspection through use of appropriate sampling techniquesFirst Article assessments of Material/ Component/ Sub-Assemblies for New Product IntroductionMRB analysis and follow up.Other duties as required by the Director of QualityQuality:Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirementsHealth & Safety:Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.MEASUREMENTS:Supplier Scorecards and AuditsSupplier Corrective Actions and their timely closureMaterial related Yield and ScrapMaterial related overall line yields and efficienciesPERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONSESSENTIAL:Minimum NFQ Level 7 Degree/ Diploma in a Science or Engineering Field2/3 years minimum experience in a similar ‘supplier quality engineering’ role in the electronic manufacturing industryExperience/ Training in Supplier AuditingSound understanding and effective utilization of problem solving techniquesProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ExcelGood communication and influencing skillsFlexibility to travelDESIRABLE:Experience in working within a Medical Device Manufacturing EnvironmentAbility to speak GermanSix sigma Green or Black Belt CertifiedExperience in medium to high volume electronic productionExperience in New Product Introduction Processes
