We would like to invite applications for the role of Full Time Ward Clerk in Beaumont Lodge Transitional Care Unit, Dublin D05X038 Hours: 37.5h per week Responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to: Patient Administration Duties: - Responsible for accurately recording admission activity during patient admission, including bed management, transfer activity, discharge details.
- Ensure patients complete relevant Health Insurance Forms, where applicable, and any other forms that maybe required.
Ensure that vital information is correct for invoicing purposes.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedure is available in times of leave for resident/ patient transition arrangements.
- Undertake data validation checks following times of leave to ensure accuracy of patient details on V Care.
- To liaise with the Patient Services Dept.
(Bed Management /Admissions Team) on a regular basis.
- To liaise with the Medical Records Office for regular chart collection - To ensure accurate Chart Tracking of all patient files on a daily basis.
- To arrange appointments for Outpatient Department Clinics.
- To prepare folders for discharged patients according to Procedure and policy and ensure that they are maintained in good order.
- To ensure that medical and death certificates are available for signature.
- To register Deaths with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages if required.
Clerical and Administrative Duties: - Meet and greet all visitors in a pleasant and welcoming manner.
- Answer all phone calls and record messages correctly and provide messages (written & email) for Home Manager left in their office before he/she commences work the following morning.
- To direct visitors and/or authorised workmen to the appropriate area(s) as requested.
- To collect and distribute all charts, reports, etc.
- To carry out on-going clerical duties and administrative tasks as they arise.
- To answer the telephone and relay appropriate messages.
- To document and arrange transport for patients where necessary - To collect, distribute and, if necessary, re-address post for the Ward.
- To keep Nurses Station tidy and ensure that an adequate supply of stationery is available at all times.
- To attend and participate in such meetings and events as may be required from time to time.
