With a broad range of competency and capability, KPMG Construction Advisory provide a one-stop shop from concept to completion where clients’ key objectives are successfully delivered upon. Our services include: Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Mechanical & Electrical Cost Management and Consultancy Services. You will be joining a niche practice area within KPMG, with a team of 50 people and growing.

Our Senior Project Managers are responsible for promoting and marketing KPMG Construction Advisory and representing KPMG Construction Advisory at a senior level within the industry and within KPMG Construction Advisory and manage the ‘day to day’ operations of their projects with their teams and support from their supervising Director together with other Directors and Senior Practice personnel.

* The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for managing a group of projects from planning and design through to the successful completion and commissioning.
* The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering the projects safely to time, to budget and to specification, ensuring the projects achieve all project goals and objectives in accordance with the Clients requirements.
* Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Project Managers ensuring that the appropriate project management techniques and measures are being implemented to ensure delivery of the projects to cost, schedule, quality and safety metrics.
* Provide technical and contractual support to the Project Managers in their day-to-day delivery functions and be responsible for reporting on the performance of their projects.
* Lead the coordination of the project ensuring interfaces are considered and addressed at all stages of the project lifecycle.
* Work with the technical teams in coordinating and managing the design consultants and other external service providers.
* Organise the appropriate design review meetings and be responsible for communicating design acceptance to the Contractor.
* Be responsible for communicating design changes to relevant members of the project team and stakeholders who may be impacted.
* Report monthly on the tasks throughout the project's lifecycle including construction works (during the construction phase) that have been undertaken.
* Maintain the overall project risk register and update at monthly progress meetings.
* Client-side project management, including stakeholder, H&S, risk, quality, schedule, and contract management.
* Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality, cost, and time.
* Support and manage the project team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting the client and business requirements.
* Identify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products.
* Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communication.
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in Construction sector.
* Degree Qualified – preferably in Engineering or related Project management discipline.
* Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB, APM or other equivalent institution.
* Highly motivated and with excellent industry network.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs that meet required standards.
* Knowledge of RIAI, GCCC, NEC & FIDIC suite of contracts.
* Knowledge of Engineering and Project management Principles.
* Ability to make decisions and demonstrate the logic in reaching those decisions when required.
* Working knowledge of Project Management software and toolsets.
