Our client is Ireland's leading civil & structural engineering consultancy.
You will be working with senior colleagues on the delivery of major structural projects and will be responsible for the technical, managerial, and commercial aspects.
This role involves client relationship management, planning, and managing project resources.
You will undertake career planning and arrange for effective mentoring and training of employees.
Additionally, you will offer pro-active advice in relation to problem-solving issues and oversee compliance with the Company’s Quality Management System as well as Health and Safety practices by those under your direction.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in engineering consultancy.
2. Understanding of engineering principles and a strong technical focus.
3. Design abilities to provide robust and economical solutions in concrete, steel, timber, masonry, etc.
4. Significant base of IT skills including structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, TEDDS suite, CADS suite, STRAP, etc.
5. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
6. Understanding of the Irish regulatory and policy issues.
7. The ability to work closely in partnership with clients, contractors, and other members of design teams.
8. Strong communication skills both oral and written.
9. A positive, proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
10. Business Effectiveness – lead by example.
11. Commitment to achieving chartership.
