Job Description
The Stock Controller & Store Person is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring smooth operations within the store, and supporting the engineering team with timely access to materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels.
* Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure records are accurate.
* Manage stock discrepancies and report findings to management.
Warehouse Operations:
* Receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality.
* Ensure proper storage and labeling of all inventory items.
* Pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch to various departments or clients.
General Duties:
* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse/store area.
* Assist with stock ordering and liaise with suppliers as necessary.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to meet project requirements.
Requirements
* Proven experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
* Valid forklift license with practical experience operating forklifts.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, inventory management software).
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse operations.
