Our client,
a leading Tier 1 Main contractor are currently seeking a Design Coordinator to join their team in Galway.
Description:
The role and responsibility of a Design Coordinator (DC) is to manage/lead one large project team to produce Design information which is:
1. Fully coordinated between all Consultants and Contractors.
2. Fully compliant with the Tender Specification & ER’s.
3. Fully compliant with the current legislation and regulation.
4. Within budget and buildable.
5. Delivered on Programme.
The DC plays a fundamental part in the successful delivery of the project alongside the Project Manager, Design Manager and Quantity Surveyor – The Project Delivery Team.
Minimum Qualifications:
6. A BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management or a HNC / HND / Degree in Construction Management or Architecture (including an industrial placement)
7. A minimum of 2.5 years’ experience of managing elements of construction projects
Abilities & Skills:
8. Highly organised and methodical approach to Design Delivery.
9. Excellent project management skills, must manage and drive multiple work streams simultaneously.
10. Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
11. Excellent numeric and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to keep up to date with new technologies including software, social media and branding initiatives.
13. Self-motivated, proactive, flexible and reliable.
14. Advanced computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Auto CAD and Microsoft Project Planner
