Audit Manager Job Description
Operational Delivery of the Audit Plan
The successful Audit Manager will be responsible for the operational delivery of the Audit Plan to provide assurance across all programmes to relevant government partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the operational delivery of the Audit Plan, keeping abreast of various government schemes/programmes rules.
* Develop the annual audit plan based on Performance Delivery Agreements (PDAs).
Risk Audits and Quality Assurance:
* Conduct on-site risk audits with primary responsibility.
* Review, approve and sign off on all audit/verification reports.
* Implement quality assurance measures to ensure work output meets standards.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management:
* Lead and guide the team to achieve high performance.
* Develop and mentor the team, including line management of Grade 3 Auditors and a Grade 2 Administrator.
Regulatory Environment and Compliance:
* Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory environment, contracts, circulars, etc.
* Liaise with external regulatory authorities as necessary, seeking advice from internal legal counsel.
Requirements:
* Professional qualification in accounting, audit or relevant discipline.
* 4-5 years' experience in management, preferably in large organisations or public bodies.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* Professional accounting qualification.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in audit, financial management and financial accounting.
* Internal Audit Qualification an advantage.
