We are currently seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will assist our senior chefs in preparing and cooking delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. The successful candidate will gain experience within the 3 kitchens in the hotel and have the opportunity to enhance their skills.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the senior chefs in preparing and cooking menu items
* Follow recipes and cooking techniques to maintain consistency and quality
* Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, and measuring as necessary
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
* Assist with food inventory and ordering as necessary
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a commis chef or in a similar role
* Knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
* Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
* Formal culinary training or certification is a plus
* Experience in banqueting would be an advantage
