Job opportunity - Vertiv is looking for a new Quality Manager – Switchgear/Busbar to join our dynamic team in Burnfoot, Ireland!

The Quality Manager - Switchgear/Busbar is responsible for leading different types of internal and external audits in various administrative areas to meet the Quality Standards for the Quality System. This includes maintaining correct calibration of our equipment and verification of processes, as well as providing necessary support to the Supplier Quality Engineer regarding supplier issues.
What kind of work will you be doing?
1. Quality Systems.
2. Review & planning of audits according to the calendar.
3. Coordinate the Quality Auditors and compile reports on audit results.
4. Conduct functional audits on the Quality System of the division.
5. Review corrective and preventive actions.
6. Close completed or resolved corrective and preventive actions.
7. Verify auditors' issued corrective actions during audits.
8. Assess the effectiveness of implemented actions.
9. Manage the internal quality system audit program.
10. Assign audits to internal auditors.
11. Ensure the Quality System is audited as programmed.
12. Verify the audit program and plan.
13. Review department manuals and assurance elements to be audited.
14. Report audit results to upper management.
15. Coordinate the external Quality Audit process.
16. Report progress on internal audit Quality Program issues.
17. Develop strategies for corrective and preventive actions.
18. Follow up with the Calibration Engineer to ensure equipment calibration.
19. Negotiate with external providers to ensure timely service.
20. Support SQE in activities to improve the Quality Level of Suppliers.
21. Assist SQE in requesting corrective actions for supplier issues.
What Would Be the Perfect Qualifications?
1. 3 years of experience in the position.
2. Experience conducting Internal & External ISO 9000 Audits.
3. Successful implementation of ISO9000.
4. Experience conducting QA Audits with Suppliers.
5. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Demonstrated ethics and integrity.
7. Effective communication with all organizational levels.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
9. Action-oriented with a focus on identifying opportunities and resolving problems.
10. Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
