Mechanical Site Supervisor
Design Build Search is working with a leading construction company to fill an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor in the Greater Dublin area.
This role is perfect for a professional with hands-on experience in mechanical site supervision, installation, and commissioning, who is looking to take on a key leadership role in managing high-profile construction projects.
Responsibilities:
* Use the Procore Construction Software package to review and analyze blueprints and floor plans, ensuring a clear understanding of the mechanical design layout.
* Identify any issues during prestart meetings with the Senior Project Manager.
* Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including piping and fixtures for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
* Lead the site operatives and apprentices, with support from the Operations Manager.
* Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordination and clear communication across all parties.
* Educate site operatives on safety protocols and accident procedures.
* Regularly inspect sites to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
* Respond to site accidents in accordance with established accident protocols.
* Maintain detailed records of site activities and progress.
* Ensure quality workmanship from staff and sub-contractors, in line with MGMEs Quality Assurance Standards.
* Raise notices to the main contractor for any on-site issues or delays encountered.
* Work closely with the procurement team to manage material orders and delivery logistics.
* Oversee testing and commissioning activities as requested by the Senior Project Manager, Quality Assurance, and commissioning teams.
* Document all Requests for Information (RFIs), damage, theft, and out-of-scope work through Procore.
* Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to safeguard the wellbeing of yourself, staff, and visitors.
* Ensure all company standards, policies, and procedures are maintained at all times.
Requirements:
* Be a Time-Served Plumber with relevant qualifications.
* Have experience in a similar Site Supervisory role.
* Be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
* Have the ability to perform under pressure and meet project deadlines.
* Possess a solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Hold a full, clean driving licence.
* Be flexible and open to travelling to various MGME project sites.
* Hold valid safety certifications and documentation.
