Our client, a leading transport provider in Ireland, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Operations Support to join their team.
About the RoleReporting to the Head of Operations, this role will work closely with Regional Service Delivery Teams to ensure the efficient management of all scheduling activities and operational initiatives.
As a key driver of strategic improvements, you will be instrumental in enhancing service performance, optimising schedules, and implementing operational efficiencies.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the Senior Manager representative on the Scheduling Committee for all schedule-related matters.
Ensure operational efficiencies are achieved and maintained on all schedule changes.
Lead the schedule negotiations process with the Bus Connects project.
Oversee the timely implementation of schedule changes.
Act as a management representative on the Scheduling Tribunal.
Maintain and enhance the rostering process and agreements across all depots, identifying further efficiencies.
Review marked-in & spare rostering to ensure alignment with agreements and service delivery requirements.
Apply Public Holiday Skip & Annual Leave roster in all depots.
Implement new roster structures for drivers.
Support local management teams on Trade Union and Industrial Relations matters.
Key Skills & KnowledgeProven experience in managing operations, preferably within the transport or related sector, with strong leadership in day-to-day operations.
Deep understanding of bus networks, operational procedures, and scheduling processes.
Practical experience in managing trade union negotiations and successfully navigating collective agreements.
Expertise in ensuring compliance with Public Service Obligation (PSO) and BMO service contracts.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
Demonstrated ability to drive change initiatives, improve operational processes, and achieve organizational goals with minimal disruption.
