Assistant Maintenance Manager Luxury 5-Star Hotel, Dublin Red D are recruiting an Assistant Maintenance Manager for a luxury 5-star hotel in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join the hotel's facilities team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and guest experience. The Role The Assistant Maintenance Manager will support the Director of Facilities in overseeing the hotel's maintenance operations, ensuring that all areas of the property meet luxury standards and comply with safety regulations. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in hotel facilities management. Key Responsibilities Ensure the hotel meets Leading Hotels of the World quality assurance targets. Deliver a high standard of maintenance and guest care. Monitor and control costs, including energy-saving initiatives. Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements. Oversee and support the facilities team in daily tasks. Carry out and assist with the hotels Preventative Maintenance Programme. Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to safety procedures. Monitor and check fire safety equipment, including extinguishers and defibrillators. Maintain stocks and ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards. Work closely with all hotel departments to respond efficiently to guest requests. Lead and support the team in the absence of the Director of Facilities. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities management role, ideally within a 5-star hotel. Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks. A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a focus on guest experience. Knowledge of safety procedures, fire regulations, and energy management. Ability to work flexibly, including supporting other departments when required. Experience in PAT testing and preventative maintenance is an advantage.
