The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will maintain and troubleshoot gas and diesel generator plants, gas-handling systems, and other associated equipment, contributing to the success of our bioenergy operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electronic components of generating and gas-handling plants.
2. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electrical systems and equipment to minimise downtime.
3. Calibrate instrumentation and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Maximise plant uptime by performing on-line machine adjustments and supporting operational needs.
5. Coordinate with external contractors and liaise effectively to ensure smooth operations.
6. Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
7. Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment as required.
8. Participate in training programmes, supporting personal development and team growth.
9. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and parts are stored appropriately.
10. Adhere to ETCI guidelines and health and safety standards.
The Person:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience post-apprenticeship.
2. Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent electrical qualification.
3. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly with control systems.
4. Previous experience in industrial control systems.
5. Methodical and flexible team player with a willingness to learn.
6. Clean driving licence (company vehicle provided).
7. Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and occasional overtime as required.
The Offer:
1. Base Salary of €49,000
2. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
3. 22 days annually, increasing with length of service.
4. VHI allowance.
5. On-call allowance.
6. Company vehicle provided.
