Cpl in partnership with our Client Pfizer are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Chemist to join the team at their Newbridge site for an 11-month contingent fixed-term contract. This is an onsite based role.
QC Chemist
Main Responsibilities:
* Routinely performs sampling and analysis, providing target training for team members as required.
* Writes laboratory investigations, ensuring compliant and timely event resolution while participating in error reduction activities in the laboratory.
* Performs additional laboratory duties as needed and conducts peer reviews.
* Provides an efficient customer-focused service by maintaining laboratory processes, equipment, and services in an operational and safe state.
* May participate in non-routine or complex projects.
* May write laboratory documentation, protocols, reports, and Process Response Records (PRRs).
* Identifies opportunities for Continuous Improvement and progresses relevant projects.
* Ensures strict adherence to site policies, procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Maintains the area of responsibility in a constant state of compliance and audit readiness in line with current regulations, Pfizer's Quality Systems (PQS), and business needs.
* Executes responsibilities in accordance with Right First-Time principles.
* Ensures the resolution of and/or appropriate escalation of issues.
* Demonstrates company values and Pfizer competencies.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Educational Background: A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
* Experience: Previous relevant laboratory experience and a good knowledge of cGMPs are desirable.
