Role Overview:
As a Marketing Communications Executive, you will play a vital role in delivering imaginative and strategic marketing and communications activities aligned with the organization’s objectives. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute high-profile campaigns, support corporate communications, and engage diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert marketing and communications advice to teams and management.
2. Implement strategic plans to highlight the organization’s mission, objectives, and achievements.
3. Support press office functions, including managing media relations, press queries, and spokesperson training.
4. Coordinate content creation and publication of key reports.
5. Deliver marketing support for flagship events, such as trade shows and awards ceremonies.
6. Collaborate with the procurement team to appoint and manage external marketing agencies.
7. Define metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns, optimizing strategies based on insights.
8. Conduct audience research to inform communication strategies and tactics.
9. Manage brand assets, ensuring consistency and effective application.
10. Work closely with the wider communications team to enhance campaign impact and visibility.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
1. A degree (minimum NFQ Level 7 or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
2. At least three years of experience in a comparable marketing or communications role.
3. Proficiency in managing the full marketing communications mix.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent the organization in public forums.
6. Strong IT proficiency and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Desirable:
1. Proficiency in written and spoken Irish.
2. Knowledge or experience of working in the public sector.
3. General knowledge of sustainable energy and the renewable energy sector.
