**Electrical Technician (Night Shift)**
The role of Electrical Technician on night shift is available at our Portumna facility, a major production site for a large frozen food manufacturer.
We supply nearly 150 products to leading Irish and UK supermarkets as part of a multi-billion-euro group operating in various sectors including food, restaurants, and property.
This position plays a crucial role in maintaining electrical equipment, enhancing plant efficiency, and contributing to the engineering team's efforts in providing top-class service to the plant.
Candidates interested in relocating to Portumna may be eligible for accommodation provided by the company.
Responsibilities:
* Complete assigned maintenance tasks during the shift.
* Play a key role in achieving electrical/mechanical efficiency targets for the site.
* Identify risks and opportunities related to breakdowns, root cause analysis, and other issues.
* Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in accordance with company policies and regulations.
* Focus on meeting site requirements from the perspective of production, NPD, trials, and other areas.
* Perform equipment modifications where necessary.
* Propose ideas to improve efficiencies and drive performance.
* Provide line cover during production runs when required.
* Pursue continuous improvement initiatives.
* Assist in training new members of the Engineering / Maintenance team or upskilling current members.
* Participate in project teams as needed.
Requirements:
* The successful candidate must hold a relevant EU Trade qualification and/or a relevant Engineering Degree.
* A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience is required.
* Strong overall knowledge of industrial machinery is essential.
* Familiarity with performing PM tasks outlined in the maintenance program is necessary.
* 'Hands-on' experience in dealing with manufacturing equipment from a maintenance perspective is required.
* Good understanding of the production process is essential.
* Ability to identify potential problems, propose solutions, evaluate them, and implement in a timely manner.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and proficient communication skills are required.
* Good overall PC skills are necessary.
