The Project Manager (Manufacturing NPI) will lead and support assigned projects, programs, and initiatives of low to medium complexity applying project management expertise to support the company’s and groups strategy. Manage assigned projects through the various stages of the project lifecycle, from concept to implementation.
The Project Manager supports the operational aspects of ongoing projects and works alongside program management and planning, project team, and line management. They action and feed into the status of projects; maintain schedules and prepare status reports. Assessing project issues, the Project Manager works with the technical team to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and clients. The Project Manager supports the overall program goal to ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.
Education/training/experience:
1. Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, biomedical engineering or similar discipline.
2. 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with high volume production experience.
3. Able to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
4. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
5. Customer focused, motivated, enthusiastic, self-directed, and results driven.
Responsibilities:
1. Define concise goals and objectives within a project framework.
2. Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood and properly translated for execution.
3. Define and recognize project Key Performance Indicators and manage the work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints.
4. Conduct project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation.
5. Facilitate communication as appropriate to all involved and ‘manage’ the stakeholders. This includes escalating issues to the next level of management.
6. Accountable for overall project success – including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management.
7. Manage the overall budget for assigned projects.
8. Accountable for customer satisfaction/relationship both internal and external as deemed relative or necessary to project success.

18. Provide regular project updates to project team, relevant departments, stakeholders, project champions and senior leadership as needed.
19. Works with stakeholders to define project road maps and deliverables.
20. Clarifies and communicates project objectives and success criteria.
21. Establish and maintain communications with both customer personnel and senior management as needed.
22. Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
23. Responsible for managing cross-functional teams.
24. Builds and structures integrated teams to ensure maximum performance; provides direction and motivation.
25. Mentors and coaches project team members.
26. Identify and prepare proposals that close gaps and mitigate risk.
27. Travel as required to support programs, equipment buy-offs and/or training at vendor or customer sites.
28. Helps drive continuous improvement initiatives.
29. Supports all company quality programs and initiatives.
30. Timeliness in addressing Quality System Requirements.
31. Principles of data integrity must be strictly adhered to.
