About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional with experience in risk management, auditing, training, and compliance. You will be joining a leading mental health service in Ireland as their risk manager, covering services nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
* Auditing: Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Training: Design and deliver training programs to enhance knowledge and skills of staff.
* Risk Register: Maintain an up-to-date risk register, identifying and assessing potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
* An academic award in Risk Management and Health & Safety or equivalent, or a professional qualification in health/social care with significant experience in health & safety improvement, risk management, incident management, and investigations.
* Demonstrate knowledge of risk management in health/social care settings, including risk assessment, risk reporting, and monitoring.
* Demonstrate knowledge of health & safety management systems, including safety statements and relevant risk assessments.
* Experience of leading change in a complex organisation.
* Experience of developing and delivering training programs.
* Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable Qualities
* Strong level of knowledge regarding Health and Safety standards and issues, ideally in a care environment involving persons with dementia or older persons.
* Experience and knowledge of human resources policies and practices.
* Good facilitation and analytical skills.
* High level of knowledge and understanding of the issue relating to people with dementia and older persons and related issues.
