GemPool Recruitment is hiring an Application Support Technician on behalf of our client, a provider of banking software solutions. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting software issues, and assisting with system installations and maintenance.
* Full, clean driving license required – travel is a key part of this role.
* Ireland & Northern Ireland (occasional UK travel required)
* Candidates must have their own vehicle.
* This role does not provide sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical and application support across software and hardware environments.
* Install and configure software both remotely and on-site.
* Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues.
* Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
* Escalate complex issues when required and follow through to resolution.
* Travel to customer sites across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with occasional travel to the UK.
Requirements
* Experience working in a Windows PC and server environment.
* A broad understanding of software installation, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience in a customer-facing role.
* Exposure to SQL Server is beneficial, particularly the ability to write queries and understand database structures.
