Role Purpose Reporting to the Pensions Administration Manager, as Pensions Process Analyst, you will be supporting the transformation of the Pensions function within An Post.
This role involves the documentation and analysis of existing As Is processes including pain points and supports the development of a To Be best in class operating model.
Responsibilities The principal responsibilities associated with the role include, but are not limited to: Documenting and evaluating existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to optimise processes, reduce costs, improve quality and restructuring Documenting and mapping the To-Be process and business requirement documents Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of implemented process changes Supporting process improvement projects from initiation to completion Co-ordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the calculation of pension entitlements (i.e.
Age, Ill Health, Preserved, Death in Service, Death on Preserved) Documenting all process changes and improvements Preparing and presenting detailed reports on process performance and improvements Maintaining up to date records of process workflows and operating procedures Training staff on new processes and procedures, and providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure adherence to new processes Preparing training materials and how to guides Acting as the point of contact for process related queries and issues Ensuring processes comply with Pension/Payroll standards, regulations and internal policies Conducting regular audits and reviews to maintain process integrity and quality and implementing corrective actions as needed to address compliance or quality issues Demonstrating An Post values and behaviours in your day to day work and addressing behaviour that supports/conflicts with them Knowledge & Experience The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field, with at least 3 years recent, practical, experience in a similar role.
You will ideally have previous exposure to the fundamentals of project management with a certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g.
Six Sigma, Lean) being particularly welcome.
Experience in/knowledge of the pensions industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will have previous experience in documenting processes and SOPs.
Proficiency in process improvement tools and software (e.g.
process mapping, workflow automation tools) along with a strong knowledge of Excel is also required.
You are an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships cross-functionally and at all levels.
You will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent organisational abilities.
