Meta is seeking a Consulting Psychologist for our global Psychological Health Team. Our Psychological Health team is responsible for the development, implementation, and measurement of global programs to support teams who are exposed to graphic and objectionable content. The Psychological Health Team is part of a broader team, The Psychological Health & Safety Team, that encompasses the work of the Wellness Response Team, the Psychological Health Team, and the Well-Being Coaches Team. The overarching goal of the function is to support the psychological health and wellbeing of Metamates. In this role, you will leverage evidence-informed best practices to strategically influence the development, design, and delivery of Psychological Health Programs. This role is a unique opportunity to work with a wide variety of teams both internally and within the marketplace to provide scalable psychological health solutions. Through ensuring high performance on existing programs and helping to facilitate the transition of new programs, you will have an impact on the company's growth and the psychological health of its people.
Responsibilities
1. Partner closely with other teams to ensure alignment with safety and well-being standards for content moderators and employees exposed to potentially graphic or objectionable content.
2. Support the design, development, and measurement of evidence-based psychological health programs for workers impacted by exposure to graphic and objectionable content.
3. Be a trusted advisor to Employment Law, Human Resources Business Partner, Employee Relations, and leadership teams.
4. Conduct market research and leverage best practices from the industry to influence and drive the delivery of scalable, market-leading programs.
5. Develop and deliver a variety of wide-ranging psychological health workshops and trainings for both individual contributors and managers, including bespoke workshops as required.
6. Provide consultation and coaching support to leadership in relation to sustaining employee/team well-being, particularly in response to acute and time-sensitive situations.
7. Create communication content (for example, short videos and posts) for internal communications related to psychology and well-being.
8. Provide consultation and support for teams exposed to graphic and objectionable content.
9. Influence large-scale priorities and coordinate across all stakeholders (internal and external) as needed to ensure the right design, execution, communication, and resources are in place to deliver the key milestones.
10. Prioritize and deliver timely, high-quality data-informed work.
11. Facilitate decision-making on applicable business decisions with compliance implications.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Masters degree in psychology or related field.
2. Hold accreditation/registration/practitioner status with the State or Governmental agency with responsibility for regulating the practice in their field. For US: Licensed as Psychologist, LCSW, LPC or equivalent; International: equivalent to US.
3. 5+ years of experience working with trauma, PTSD.
4. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
5. Experience working effectively with a varied range of colleagues and partners to drive impact.
6. Proven experience of identifying potential roadblocks early and developing plans to mitigate risks.
7. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Capacity to work in a deadline-focused environment and manage ambiguity.
9. Flexibility to allow for cross-time zone and region collaboration.
10. Willingness to travel required for this role approximately 30%.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Doctoral Degree in psychology or related field.
2. Experience working in trust and safety.
3. Experience in the tech and/or business process outsourcing industries.
4. Experience with long-range thinking and planning in a quickly changing, uncertain environment.
5. Prior experience with managing compliance for country-specific psychological health and safety risk assessments, primarily those in Ireland, Spain, and France.
