The Senior Executive will support the Director in policy development and engagement, and day-to-day management of designated Property Industry Ireland Policy groups and Building Materials Federation Councils to identify opportunities to raise the profile and reputation of the property and construction sector and make effective recommendations.
The Senior Property Industry Group Executive will provide the necessary expertise, energy and leadership capability to ensure that the key objectives of the Property Industry Group, the Property Industry Ireland (PII) Council, PII working groups, Building Materials Federation (BMF) and affiliate groups are identified and met through the implementation of appropriate action plans. The role will work closely with the Property Industry Group Director in the successful delivery of the PII and BMF strategies, as agreed with the PII and BMF Councils.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Representation and Policy Development
* Developing impactful Policy papers and recommendations reflecting the members of Property Industry Ireland
* Lobbying and representation activities on behalf of member companies on category specific issues at national and/or European level.
* Build networks with relevant Government departments, state agencies, national/ property sector groups and European bodies and to represent Property Industry Ireland and Building Materials Federation in engagements with key stakeholders.
* Engage and resolve members enquiries and provide ongoing information to members on relevant issues within PII and across Ibec where necessary.
* Provide analysis and appropriate updates on sector related issues, research and developments to the group, producing major reports where appropriate.
Member relations; communications and committee work
* Manage council meetings and policy groups through planning, recording and advising on key deliverables relevant to the sector.
* Plan, manage and supervise Property and Construction Sector events and public relations programmes that develop and enhance the property and construction sector community.
* Identify opportunities to raise the profile and reputation of the property and construction sector and make recommendations accordingly.
* Building and maintaining relationships with senior executives in member companies.
* To manage and upkeep the PII and BMF website and the PII social media activities.
* Prepare media and communications strategies where appropriate.
* Member data and statistics collection.
Association profile and membership
* Deliver member services including events and networking as defined by the membership.
* Actively retain and attract new membership of Property Industry Ireland and Building Materials Federation year on year
Commercial Responsibility
Under direction of Property Sector Director, the Senior Executive will have responsibility for:
* Collecting membership subscriptions
* Meeting budget targets
* Membership Development
Association Management and Governance
* Supporting PII and BMF Councils in the development of sector strategy and objectives.
* Driving various initiatives as and when required as agreed with the PII and BMF Councils.
* High level secretariat to PII and BMF Councils and designated committees and working groups
Delivery of Ibec and Property Industry Group strategy
* Work collaboratively through an integrated service delivery framework, delivering general account management and working across the organisation on relevant initiatives and projects

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
* Hold a primary degree in a relevant discipline such as business, policy, property or other relevant qualification; additional postgraduate/professional qualifications would be an advantage
Knowledge
* Business and competitive issues facing business and particularly facing the property and construction industry in Ireland
* Ideally has at least 5 years relevant experience working in a representational capacity
* Role of government agencies in policy making and related
* Regulatory issues for the Property and construction industry
Experience
* Excellent lobbying and networking skills
* Experience in lobbying, policy development and analysis
* Working in a diverse, busy, and dynamic environment
* Working in a team environment
* Experience working with committees and trade association
* Experience working in the Property and/or Construction sector is an advantage
