We are currently inviting applications for a Meat Cutter to join our LimerickMarketPlace team.
Role purpose:
To establish and maintain an excellent meat cutting service to our LimerickMarketPlace customers.
Areas of responsibility:
1. Lead the customer service excellence in Meat area, serving customers, monitoring quality and preparing the complete range of protein products for sale, including set up/close down of counters.
2. Providing professional advice to our customer on all meat produce (face to face and over the phone).
3. Actively promoting high customer excellence standards.
4. Drive the sales and reduce waste targets in a manner that supports overall Marketplace strategy and our excellence standards.
5. Facilitate and participate in the introduction of any new range as the company requires.
6. Ensure the integrity and uncompromising quality of all protein products displayed.
Key Activities:
1. Cut, prepare and serve all protein products and species to best practice and maximum yields.
2. Assist in Stock Control and Stock Rotation/quality checks as required.
3. Uphold and enhance Health and Safety standards, including cleanliness and hygiene.
4. Maintain Legal records as required daily.
5. Operate the clean as you go policy, daily maintenance and deep clean as required.
Food Safety:
1. Health & Safety - Uphold and enhance Health and Safety standards, including cleanliness and hygiene.
2. Maintain SOPs and legal records as required daily/weekly.
3. Operate the clean as you go policy, daily maintenance and deep clean as required.
4. Strong understanding of wholesale/customer facing business.
Education and Experience:
* Ideally you will have basic experience in cutting meat (no deboning or primal cutting and packing) or/and would be working towards obtaining butcher’s qualification.
* Minimum 2-3 years previous experience cutting meat (as above).
